    University FoundationDuration

The duration of the International Foundation Programme depends on your academic programme and which degree you are applying for at Swansea University. The programme varies between one (12 weeks) and two (24 weeks) semesters of study.

    Entry Dates

The majority of programmes have three (3) intakes per year in September, January and May.

    Assessment

Assessment for most modules is continuous, consisting of tests, assignments and case study analysis. Most modules have a final two-hour examination.

    Programme Structure

The programme is comprised of four modules each semester, eight modules in total. To be awarded the International Foundation Programme Certificate students must complete and pass all modules. Each module is tailored towards the undergraduate degree the student wishes to pursue at Swansea University. Students only study modules that are relevant to their degree.

    English Language Requirement

Students who do not meet the English language requirement are able to undertake the required amount of English language training to prepare them for successful entry into the International Foundation Programme. The English language training is conducted by Swansea University’s ELTS (English Language Training Services).
